Every day, from television, from the pages of magazines we hear the phrase "change image".

And, of course, in these stories is the description of how someone buying a new dress was attractive, successful, and gained the universal love. Television projects of vengeance of convincing us that dressed as the heroine reconciled with her husband, a job and new friends. But is it really?

Thanks to television, radio and, of course, the Internet, now the same information about the same object can possess not only the residents of one country, one people. And stereotypes are not so dependent on historical context. Now it probably goes on a shared understanding of a character, group of people, at the same time received the knowledge of it.

For example, if the earlier symbols of the collective unconscious were images of fairy tale characters, legends, now it is reasonable to say that the heroes of the movies, memes or contemporary literature available to the world has divided people into those who saw and understood the value and those who have not experienced them.

Which, in turn, of course, led to the emergence of new stereotypes of perception of the image and assigning the human behavior a new psychological values.

For example, remember the popular movie of the 90's "Pretty woman" with Richard Gere and Julia Roberts. It is a kind of interpretation of the fairy tale "Cinderella", but in a modern way. The basic idea remains the same – kindness and love will win, but in the consciousness of society crept new stereotype, it is not associated with the base variant of this legend - the image of a girl "easy" behavior. Her style of dressing, speaking, moving.

And now, seeing certain elements of dress or behavior, we will remember the character. But hearing the word "beauty", definitely remember the heroine of the film.

and more And more new images fixed in our unconscious that come to mind at the sight of the stimulus. They cause us a certain attitude. Sometimes we ourselves are unable to say why we like or dislike a person we want to communicate, and someone is completely indifferent. We tend to attribute it to mysticism, properties of nature or other reasons, but don't stop to think that maybe the person has some property that causes in our minds a reaction associated with the perception of a character from a past experience.

I think you have already guessed that the concept image is formed by several spheres of human activity. And now I will tell you briefly about each of them.

let's Start with the concept of "Embodied image". It is often mistaken for the clothes, because the name is associated with things. But, no. We are talking about something else. This field describes the objects that man has created, what he did with his hands, creativity and self-fulfillment.

But the clothes and what we wear for yourself is called "Habitatny image". That is - "external" and includes the costume, hairstyle, jewelry, makeup body care.

And last, but the first meaning is "Mental" and "Personal" areas of the image. After all, we are guided by them when choosing a profession, clothing, housing. And as they manifest in the behavior and speech of each person.
